HCG P2D29 – Top 5 Must Haves For Doing the HCG Diet
I need to walk… I need to, I think if I don’t walk whilst doing HCG I go even crazier. I wish I wanted to walk like this when I wasn’t on HCG, might solve the overweight problem but I do it when doing HCG, I have too.. It helps.
So this morning as I was walking, pushing my wee girl, watching my steps on my Garmin, listening to music, I started thinking what do people need when they start this diet. The absolute must haves….
I had a lot of time to think this morning I walked for just over an hour, clocking up 9,273 steps, so here’s my recommendations if you are going to start your HCG journey.
1. You need to source proper HCG products.
Regardless of the method you plan to do, injections, drops, gum, patches, pallets. There are so many fake HCG products on the market, you might succeed in using them but you are damaging your body, going into starvation mode and wasting your muscle mass not fat. This is no good the diet is the HCG diet and your product that you are using must contain HCG in the ingredient list. If it doesn’t don’t use it or buy it.
Three companies that I know are true products –
Changing Habits – Company based in Australia but ship internationally. I’ve had family members use this brand and have said they are great they sell the drops by themselves or in packs which is helpful.
Intermountain HCG – This is the brand I use and have only used. Unfortunately they are having trouble with their credit card system but this will be back up and running soon. They are a US brand and ship internationally. They quite often have good deals and specials. I’ll let you know when they do.
Miracle Skinny Drops – Based in America and seem to ship internationally.
2. A good Digital Bathroom scale.
This diet has a major focus on weighing in each day and a set of those old school bathroom scales, the non-digital ones are no good. You need a set of digital scales to keep you happy and progressing well along this journey. Trust me, I had an old school set first time doing the round and I couldn’t tell when I was losing or gaining small amounts, plus they are just so inaccurate. I bit the bullet and purchased a digital bathroom scale here in NZ through a daily deal site. Best investment ever… You will be weighing yourself in P2, P3 and in P4, it’s how you find out if food agrees or not with you, how you will continue to monitor your weight in life and so you know if you need to do a stall or a correction day whilst doing HCG. You really do need a set, they don’t have to be expensive. I’ve done a quick search on Amazon and you can purchase a set there, EatSmart Precision Digital Bathroom Scales for about $30USD. These scales have over 17,000 reviews, 14,000 of those have given the scales a 5 out of 5 and it’s currently a 4.6 out of 5… Pretty good I reckon.
3. A good Kitchen scale.
Again this is vitally important, you will be definitely weighing your proteins raw, you can only eat 3.5oz or 100g protein, weighed raw x2 a day. You may also want to weigh you vegetables as well to make up your calories for the day. Again these don’t have to be expensive, I brought mine through local supermarket for about $20NZD and again I’ve had a look on Amazon and the same brand that does the Bathroom Scales also do Kitchen Scales, EatSmart Precision Pro Digital Kitchen Scale. $20USD with over 7,000 customer reviews, over 6k of those give it a 5 and it’s currently rated 4.7 out of 5… Another great buy I reckon.
4. Tape Measure
Sometimes it’s hard for us to see the weight-loss either in the mirror, clothes or even on the scales. I would highly suggest on your first day of loading to measure yourself, Arms, Thighs, Waist, Stomach, Hips, Bust and Bum, I didn’t measure Bum area this round but wish I had of as think bit of weight has fallen off there, definitely next time.
Then when you start P2 I would suggest measuring yourself once a week on the same day as you did on your first loading day. It’s amazing to see how many CM/Inches are falling off and it helps to keep things in perspective. It can take a while to see it elsewhere.
5. Fitness app/measurement/weight sheet
Lastly find either a good Phone app to record your measurements or do like I do and have a fabulous app and also a paper based record… I’ve actually got two records, I’m bit obsessed but it helps me. I have an Iphone so use My Fitness Pal and My Weight. Both fantastic.
Update: today is day 29, good loss this morning of 400g. Hope it continues, I’ve decided I want to lose a total of 15kg this round… If I’m lucky enough to get to this goal before the 40 days are up then that’s great… If not I will still stop at 40 days and wait for next round. 3.6kg to go 🙂
